About the academy

Creativity deserves a place to grow.

The story, philosophy and learning culture behind The Artistic Era.

A multidisciplinary home for performing and visual arts.

The Artistic Era is a performing arts academy in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, offering dance, Indian vocals, instruments, fine arts, theatre and choreography for kids, teenagers and adults. The academy was envisioned as more than a conventional activity centre. It is a creative learning community where discipline and imagination work together.

Many learners begin an art class because they want a meaningful hobby. Over time, regular training can improve concentration, physical coordination, rhythm, observation, confidence, communication and emotional expression. Our role is to make that journey engaging and structured. We introduce foundations clearly, encourage practice without unnecessary pressure and help students notice their own progress.

Our teaching philosophy

Every art form has a language. Dance communicates through movement, rhythm, expressions and space. Music uses melody, timing, breath and listening. Fine arts develop observation, visual thinking and patience. Theatre strengthens imagination, speech, body language and collaboration. Instead of treating these as isolated skills, our approach recognises how they support complete personality development.

Classes are planned according to age, ability and learning pace. A young beginner may need playful exercises, rhythm games and short routines, while a more experienced student may require detailed technique, stamina, presentation and performance preparation. Adults may join to restart a passion, manage stress, improve fitness or experience the joy of creative learning. We respect all these goals.

“The purpose of artistic training is not only to create performers. It is to create confident, expressive and disciplined individuals.”

Indian culture with contemporary relevance

The Artistic Era values India’s rich cultural traditions through forms such as Kathak, Odissi, Indian vocals and regional folk dance. At the same time, learners can explore Hip Hop, freestyle, Bollywood, modern stage performance, instruments and contemporary creative practices. This balance allows students to understand artistic roots while expressing themselves in a language that feels relevant today.

Cultural learning also builds context. Students gradually understand why a gesture matters, how rhythm supports movement, how stories shape classical performance and how folk forms reflect communities and celebrations. Modern classes develop versatility, energy, musicality and individual style. Together, they create an expansive creative education.

A safe and encouraging environment

Confidence grows when learners feel respected. Our instructors aim to create classes where students can ask questions, try again after mistakes and receive useful feedback. We celebrate consistency instead of comparison. This is especially important for children who may be shy, hesitant or new to group learning.

Parents are encouraged to see artistic learning as a gradual process. Strong fundamentals, regular attendance and home practice can make a meaningful difference. Performance opportunities, wherever suitable, help students apply their learning and experience the excitement of preparation, teamwork and presentation.

Learning for different stages of life

Children benefit from movement, rhythm, creativity and social interaction. Teenagers can use the arts to strengthen identity, self-expression and stage presence. Adults often find artistic practice refreshing and personally fulfilling. Wedding and event choreography brings families together through memorable shared performances. Because every learner arrives with a different reason, we begin by understanding the individual.

Our academy offers a broad selection under one roof: Kathak, Odissi, folk dance, western dance, Indian vocals, tabla, piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, harmonium, mouth organ, mandolin, tongo and bongo, drawing, painting, sketching, craft, theatre and event choreography. Availability may vary by current batch and schedule, and our team helps learners choose an appropriate starting point.

Our vision

We want The Artistic Era to be known as a trusted creative institution where students receive professional guidance without losing the joy of learning. Our vision is to nurture confident performers, thoughtful creators and lifelong learners who carry discipline, culture and creativity into every part of life.

Our mission

Our mission is to make quality artistic education accessible through expert-led classes, age-appropriate teaching, regular practice, individual encouragement and performance-oriented opportunities. We aim to preserve cultural forms, embrace modern expression and help every learner discover a personal connection with the arts.

Begin with a trial

The easiest way to understand a class is to experience it. A free trial session helps the learner observe the environment, meet the instructor and understand the structure. It also helps our team recommend the right program and batch. No previous experience is necessary for most beginner programs.
